We have been notified of the sad passing of a long term member of the RAACA (Victorian Branch), William (Bill) Heyward. We would like to pass our condolences on to his family from our members, his friends.

  I am sad to report the passing of one of 4/19 PWLH fine Officers. Capt. John Purcell peacefully passed away a couple of days ago.
  He served within the Regiment in the 1960's and 1970's and from what I can remember, he was an outstanding Officer.
  His funeral will be held next Thursday 26 April 2018 Location: Renowden Room Springvale Botanical Cemetery 600 Princes Hwy. Springvale Timing: 10:30 am
  RIP - Capt. John Purcell and you will join us again at our next Officer luncheon in May 2018.

 The funeral service for this fine officer and long standing member of the Victorian Branch was conducted in Brisbane on 28 September. Many Black Hats were in attendance and a very moving eulogy was delivered by close family friend Brigadier Maurie Meecham, AM (Retd). Lieutenant Colonel Craig Burn and Major (Retd) Peter Branagan, OAM represented the Victorian Branch.

  It is with regret to advise of the passing of Warrant Officer Class Two Donald Weedon our Sergeant Major .
  After a long illness Don passed away on the 02nd October 2017 and, at his request ( prepared in writing ) prior to his death, his passing was kept within the family, no one was to be told...
  He was Privately Cremated, family only in attendance, on Saturday 07th October 2017, I was contacted today Sunday and advised by Godfrey Camenzuli.

  VX51051 Tpr. Brian ‘Lucky’ Leeder was a veteran of New Guinea and served there with the 2/8th Australian Armoured Regiment. In later years he was an active member of the Victorian Branch and along with his ‘minder’ Colin Carrington, attended many of our functions.
